General Description::
The Chicago Province of the Society of the Divine Word is a Catholic religious missionary community of priests and brothers with its headquarters in Techny (Northbrook), Illinois. The Administrative Services Director, working closely with the Provincial Superior, ensures the efficient administration and management of the Chicago Province.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Assists the Provincial Superior in all matters and procedures needed for the routine administration of the Chicago Province.2.Assists the Provincial Superior in preparing the monthly Provincial Council agenda and documentation packets for council members. Prepares the minutes following each Provincial Council meeting.3.Assists the Provincial Superior in preparing official correspondence. 4.Assists the Provincial Superior in preparing the schedule, procedures, topics and speakers / facilitators for meetings, gatherings and events including the Province Assemblies, Chapters, Local Superiors, First Five and similar meetings and events. Assembles, prepares, and distributes all necessary materials.5.Administers the triennial election process including the schedule, procedural guidelines, ballots, memos and mailings according to the Society of the Divine Word norms.6.Contracts with Techny Towers and other locations for conference, event, and meeting arrangements.7.Assists the Joint Spirituality Committee, as needed.8.Directly supervises the Archivist, Director of Media and Public Relations, Provincial Secretary and Province Center Receptionist.9.Supervises the Provincial Secretary in preparing, maintaining, and updating numerous reports, databases, directories, lists files and documents. Also coordinates with Provincial Secretary monthly birthday coffees, holiday parties and other social gatherings.10.Compiles agenda, schedule and takes minutes of the Province Center Committee meeting and publishes the internal communication bulletin for Province Center staff in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources.11.Assists the Chicago Province Treasurer regarding facility management.

Minimum Qualifications:
This person will be familiar with Catholic teachings, structure, procedures, and practices, including the operation and mission of religious communities.The person must possess the following qualities:•Excellent written and oral communication skills•Exceptional organizational skills•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality•Ability to work with a variety of constituencies•Ability to work collaboratively Educational and Experience Background:•5-7 years of middle or upper management experience in Church or Church-related administration•Solid knowledge of Catholic theology and practice and familiarity with Canon Law•Bachelor of Arts degree or higher in management or a related field•High degree of computer literacy and mastery of common software applications
