Director of Parish Missional Support

The Director of Discipleship Formation discerns, develops, and supports teams that will best nurture and strengthen
lifelong discipleship formation in the parishes and schools of the Diocese of La Crosse. Applying the principle of
subsidiarity, the focus of this position is to multiply the number of missionary disciples in our parishes and schools
by pouring into those open to living that way, resourcing them, and accompanying them as they embrace their
charisms, so that they in turn can accompany others well along the path of discipleship. In some cases (e.g., deacon
candidate formation, lay discipleship and mission formation), this director builds and supports teams that run
programming at the diocesan level. In other cases, this director collaborates and discerns with the other directors on
the Missionary Discipleship team to support local-level discipleship formation, especially in areas that the parishes
and schools of the Diocese most need outside support.
