POSITION SUMMARY:

The (Sr.) Manager, Communications and Marketing will support the Director of Marketing and Communications (Director of MarComm) in executing the strategic communications and marketing priorities of the East-West Province Leadership Team. This role is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the communications department by managing projects, coordinating internal and external communication efforts, and ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external teams. The (Sr) Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the brand integrity, digital presence and messaging of the Province while supporting the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Support the Director of MarComm in planning, executing, and completing communication projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, coordinating with internal departments and external partners
  • Manage workflow and facilitate communication between the Director of MarComm and Sisters, Associates and Staff and other departments, including Development, Sponsorship, Archives and sponsored ministries
  • Ensure all communications initiatives adhere to deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards

Internal & External Communications Support:

  • Assist in implementing the East-West Province communications strategy, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all platforms
  • Coordinate internal communication efforts to enhance information flow and engagement within the Province
  • Work with the Digital Communications Coordinator and Creative Services Associate to support developing and distributing bi-annual magazines, newsletters, reports, and other internal and external communications materials

Branding & Content Management:

  • Maintain brand consistency across all communications, ensuring alignment with Province and SNDdeN EW messaging guidelines and unified brand strategy
  • Help manage and update the East-West Province website, social media channels, and other digital platforms

 Marketing & Digital Presence:

  • Support the execution of digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and web content development
  • Work with the Digital Communications Coordinator to monitor and report on digital analytics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance outreach effectiveness
  • Assist in content creation, including writing, editing, and coordinating design elements for various marketing materials

Crisis Communications & Public Relations:

  • Assist the Director of MarComm as needed in developing crisis communication plans and responses, ensuring preparedness for potential issues.
  • Support the Director of MarComm in media relations, drafting press releases and coordinating with external PR partners as needed.

Fundraising & Donor Communications:

Assist the Director of MarComm and Director of Development with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement materials

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, marketing, public relations or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within a communications, marketing, or nonprofit environment
  • Familiarity with faith-based organizations, congregations of women religious, or mission-driven entities preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including website management, social media platforms and email marketing software
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills. Solid understanding of AP Style
  • Experience with graphic design and content creation tools is a plus
