Summary/Objective: The Director creatively invites and cultivates relationships that extend the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in the Western Province by working with individuals to discern what form of relationship they desire and making appropriate connections.
Essential Functions:
- Seek meaningful ways to invite, inspire and energize diverse populations/individuals including youth and adults to know about and engage with the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in the Western Province.
- Serve as a connector for people desiring to be in relationship with the SCNs in the Western Province, discern with them what form of relationship they desire and make the appropriate connections (vowed membership, SCN Associates, Companions of Charity, House of Hospitality, volunteers).
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator of the Associate Relationship.
- Work collaboratively with other staff who lead current forms of relationships and promote the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in the Western Province.
- Communicate with and involve Province members in the promotional/outreach efforts of the office.
- Develop and promote a team approach to build and strengthen relationships among individuals taking a lead in currently established forms of relationship and to coordinate efforts and activities among the groups.
- Meet regularly with those taking a lead in Province relationships, the Director of the Office of Mission Advancement and Director of Lay Mission Volunteer Program, to facilitate discussion around promoting/coordinating various forms of relationship.
- Identify, stay informed, and promote volunteer opportunities to interested individuals.
- Participate and engage in Mission Integration Program for Employees.
- Provide regular communication with and engage the Province regarding the activities of the office.
- Be attuned to emerging forms of relationship and explore these possibilities for the Province.
- Work Collaboratively with a SCN mentor.
- Develop and administer the annual budget according to established guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises the Office of Charity Connections Administrative Assistant.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in the area of theology, ministry or related field preferred. Familiarity with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth congregation and religious life, preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office, email marketing, website, Zoom, Facebook, and other social media.
Licenses/Certificates: This position does not require any specific license or certification.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires ease of movement.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position. Nights and weekends may be required.
Travel: Must be willingly and able to travel in the US and Belize.
