General Description::
Join a team of mission-driven employees to support the Office of Human Resources at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to manage and lead the Benefits and Retirement Programs. The USCCB office is in Northeast Washington, DC, near The Basilica and the Catholic University of America campus, just a few blocks from the Brookland stop on the red line. USCCB offers the ability to work remotely two days a week for most positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Fringe Benefit Program, which consists of Healthcare Coverage (medical, EAP, dental, vision & prescription), Educational Assistance,403(b) Plan, Defined Benefit Pension Plan, Life Insurance, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability Plans.•Conducts new hire orientation•Assists in evaluating job descriptions for equity and make recommendations to either upgrade, downgrade or maintain appropriate levels and titles. •Coordinating health fair/benefit workshops and assisting in staff training programs. •Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance •Monitors/approves Performance Evaluations for accurate ratings and documentation for the ratings. •Act as lead contact to answer all employee benefits questions.•Responsible for completing Government Reporting, i.e., Yearly EEO 1 Report and benefits and salary surveys.

Minimum Qualifications:
Contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference, demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect, and contribute to the USCCB mission and fulfill job duties following its Catholic identity. Education Level: Bachelor’s degree Major Field/Specialty: Human Resources or related discipline SHRM-SCP/ SHRM -CP or SPHR/ PHR preferred. Strong Excel skills are required. Knowledge of Catholic Church theology, structure, and hierarchy Number of Years Required: 5 years of HR generalist experience working with benefits plans.
